Handheld Ultrasound Imaging Device
This is the world’s smallest palm-sized ultrasound. Looking much
like a Blackberry (and about the same size), the it is a quick and
cost-effective alternative for individual healthcare practitioners. The machine
can deliver high-resolution images anywhere, anytime for a variety of medical
purposes like bladder and trauma assessments, screening for abdominal aortic
aneurysm, internal bleeding, general obstetrics, and more.
The compact design means it’s convenient to keep in a pocket or
wrapped around the neck like a stethoscope for physicians to do an on-the-spot
ultrasound on a patient. It weighs just under a pound and the portability and
“quick access” nature at anytime and anywhere. It’s also ideal for remote
healthcare. The microSD card, which can save up to 20,000 images which allows
for quick import of information and images to a computer.
